The Electro-Voice ® Sx300 is a 300-watt, 12-inch two-way, high-efficiency, constant-directivity compact speaker system with Ring Mode Decoupling (RMDTM). Through the extensive use of computer-aided design and modeling, Electro-Voice engineers have developed a state-of-the-art professional loudspeaker system. The high-frequency section of the Sx300 utilizes a molded-in, 65° x 65° constant-directivity horn. This unique pattern contributes to high intelligibility, vocals sound natural yet “cut through” in reverberant, noisy rooms. In addition, the coverage pattern is unusually uniform over its range of operation. Sound quality off axis is very well maintained, even at 45° off axis (a 90° total coverage angle), beyond the rated coverage angle. The horn’s unique, VaripathTM throat geometry helps direct driver output to the corners of the room, this helps cover areas of the audience that typically do not recieve good coverage. High-impact polypropylene structural foam provides a stiff and extremely durable lightweight enclosure. The New Elliptical Waveguide Horn

In comparison to a conventional rectangular horn, the Elliptical Wave Guide offers superior control over HF coverage, with reduced distortion, greater output and smoother frequency response. The elliptical shape means that there are no corners or parallel surfaces to distort, diffract or reflect the sound – therefore the output is smoother, cleaner and more consistent. Again, due to the elliptical shape, mid to high frequencies are diffused more efficiently. When coupled with a true compression driver, the result is brilliant, natural HF reproduction.

System Protection

The ProTech protection system in the EVP-X progressively converts excess power into heat and triggers a reduction in the power to the HF Driver. When the overload condition is removed, the system returns seamlessly to normal operation.

Sophisticated Crossover Design

Enhancing smooth frequency and power response, the EVP-X features a sophisticated crossover design that uses high voltage capacitors and inductors with massive cores and heavy gauge wire, enabling the crossover network to handle high power without saturating.

Built to last

The EVP-X cabinets are constructed using high grade, low resonance composite wood and covered with a road tough industrial carpet. A heavy duty full length steel grille protects the internal components from damage.

Versatility

Full range cabinets in the EVP-X Series are trapezoidal in shape and therefore easily arrayable. They also feature an alloy stand adaptor in the base of the unit for mounting on tripods or for use in combination with one of the complimentary sub bass systems.

Ease of use

The EVP-X have the added benefit of signal present and HF protect LED indicators on the front of the loudspeaker - green to show signal present and orange to show the HF bulb is active, making it easy to monitor the system levels.

The ULTRA-DI DI20 is an innovative active 2-channel DI-box/splitter that takes the signal directly from an unbalanced high-impedance output—like an electric guitar—and feeds it directly into a mixing console or recorder. It is ideally suited to augment the traveling gear of musicians (especially guitar/bass players) as well as live/studio/broadcast engineers, installation contractors and studios/live event engineers. The DI20 converts 2 separate unbalanced 1/4" jack inputs into 2 balanced XLR outputs. There is a 2-channel/link mode for flexible usage as mono, 2-channel or splitter box. In link mode, channel 1 can be split up into 2 balanced XLR connectors plus 1 unbalanced 1/4" jack connector. Switchable input attenuation in 3 ranges allows input levels of up to +48 dBu, while a ground lift switch eliminates typical ground loop problems. It operates either by using a 9 V battery or by using 48 V phantom power. The whole package is enclosed in an ultra compact, road-suitable and extremely rugged housing.
