Pioneer EFX-1000

High-Fidelity Sound

The high-fidelity design features 24-bit/96 kHz A/D and D/A signal converters along with a 32-bit DSP, allowing the addition of effects without lowering the original sound quality. A signal bypass function has also been incorporated.

3 Band Beat Effector

1) Beat effects [BPM mode]

The EFX-1000 is equipped with the same automatic BPM counter/beat effector made popular by the EFX-500, which allows effect processing on single selected bands in sync with the track tempo (BPM), for greater expressive possibilities than with conventional all-band effectors.

2) Beat effects [RHYTHM mode]

This industry-first rhythm effector lets you apply effects in sync with a rhythm you input yourself. With the capability of a far wider range of unique effects compared to previous beat effectors, you have the potential for a new level of DJ performance.

Digital Jog Break Function

The jog dial allows real-time control of effect sounds. Up to eight seconds of jog function can be stored in memory for automated replay. In addition to single memory plaback there is a loop mode for stored jog motion playback. When used in combination with the beat effector, up to 49 effects can be created.

MIDI IN/OUT Function

External MIDI signals (control signals and timing clock signals) can be used to control the effector and as a medium for using the effector to control a sequencer or other MIDI component.

Digital Link Function

A variety of functions can be performed by using the dedicated digital link cable to connect this unit to a Pioneer DJ mixer (DJM-1000) with digital link support.

Digital IN/OUT

Equipped with digital IN/OUT connectors at 24-bit/96 kHz sampling, the EFX-1000 allows for use in-studio track creation and other applications where high sound quality is demanded.

Korg KP3 Kaoss Pad

Korg’s KAOSS technology has been embraced by DJs, musicians and producers alike. No other interface is as intuitive, immediate or just plain fun to use. By simply touching, tapping or sliding your finger over the touchpad, the all-new KP3 allows you to control multiple effects parameters and manipulate samples in real time. On stage or in the studio, these gestures and moves can become powerful and expressive performance elements. More than a processor, the KP3 is a complete instrument allowing you to manage, recall, and play back samples; sample on the fly; and add dynamic processing to any audio signal or to the samples themselves.

This latest KAOSS incarnation has been completely overhauled to enhance your creativity, with significant advances in every area. New effects algorithms, synth sounds derived from our RADIAS engine, bigger and better sampling plus computer connectivity all point to the fact that the KP3 is an entirely new KAOSS instrument. A new pad lighting system places 64 individual LEDs in an eight by eight grid under the pad, providing visual cues as to the current program, held position, etc. – it can even scroll a custom message across the pad!

Akai Headrush

The Akai Professional E2 HEAD RUSH combines delay, tape echo, and a looping recorder in a single pedal. User-selectable delay options allow for maximum control of output signal. Real-time feedback and gain adjustment as well as echo rate enable sounds to be shaped with precision.

E2 HEAD RUSH also simulates a four-head analog-tape machine with control of decay and spacing between virtual-tape heads to create complex multiple delays and repeats. The signal from each virtual head appears on an individual output for multiple returns when used with an external mixing console or multiple amps.

Looping Recorder mode enables you to record and overdub layer after layer of sound in real-time, making E2 HEAD RUSH an unbelievable live performance tool.

Depending upon which mode is selected, the left footswitch controls the on/off and play/stop functions while the right footswitch sets the tap delay time or recording and overdub options. The LED display indicates which effect in use and blinks in time showing the delay time selected.

E2 HEAD RUSH empowers you to bring back sounds of yesterday, blend them with the ruggedness and flexibility of today’s technology, and add new functionality. Every effect-pedal board needs one!
